Some big news released today on changes to the SAT. College Board will be going back to the original 1600 score, and the writing section will become optional.
I am very curious what this will mean for admissions– will colleges expect students to take the optional writing section? Will those who don’t be penalized, or at a disadvantage? Additionally, just like the first round of high school seniors who took the “new” SAT with the 2400 score, how much uncertainty will there be over what a good score means?
